Too bad so many missed Midsummer. It was hot, but the party on Saturday night was absolutely amazing. From the brief after dinner chatter atound the combined Stormgard and Strangeways camp sites to the big blowout bash that lasted most of the night up at one of the pole barns, it was a wonderful night.

June 6-8 There will be the traditional Stonemarche summer fair, complete with Goldensword compitition for new fighters who actually have enough armor to qualify (if we have any of those…).
We will probably be able to provide food/tentspace for people who actually tell us they need it, and help us erect the tent. Even if you are not able to fight or do not wish to, it’s a fun little event. “fighting, fencing, archery, dancing, drumming, and merchants.” to quote the site, and a hafla, and probably a bardic circle whether or not it’s scheldued, because let’s face it it’s Stonemarche.
The theme this year is vikings and bellydancers. Don’t ask me why. It was never themed before.
We will not be able to provide anything that we do not know you aren’t supplying yourself (cough cough matress), so I ask the newest members to point back at the past and laugh at us, so long as they do not move forward making the exact same mistake. There are plenty of mistakes to make. Be original.
Any new member who can attend tell me as soon as possible so I can finish their clothing.
